Specialised Unit for Public Procurement
The Specialised Unit for Public Procurement (Fachstelle öffentliches Auftragswesen, FAW) is a unit of the Office of the Government Chancellery, assigned organisationally to the Ministry of General Government Affairs and Finance. It serves as the central point of contact and advice for applicants, tenderers, contractors, and contracting authorities. Its responsibilities also include the development of strategies, concepts, measures, and instruments for the best possible implementation and development of public procurement, and for the preparation and evaluation of public procurement contracts.
