Chancellery Services

Chancellery Services is a unit of the Office of the Government Chancellery, which reports directly to the Government as a whole. Day-to-day supervision is exercised by the Prime Minister. Chancellery Services includes the Chancellery Services Desk in the Government Building, the Registry, the Switchboard, and the Advice and Complaints Office.

The range of tasks performed by Chancellery Services is very broad, such as issuing Government publications and administering the Government Directory, but also approving alcohol permits and events, use of Peter-Kaiser-Platz, and use of the national coat of arms and national colours. Chancellery Services performs all responsibilities relating to the political rights of the people, including elections and votes.
